About NTMA

The National Tooling and Machining Association is a trade organization representing the tool & die and precision metalworking manufacturing industry throughout the United States. Organized in 1943, NTMA connects manufacturers to leverage their collective power for networking, learning and advocacy. We serve the following industries: Aerospace, Agricultural, Appliance, Automotive, Construction, Defense, Electronics, Energy, Environmental and Medical industries.

Michiana Chapter NTMA (MCNTMA)  is the local chapter of NTMA http://www.ntma.org/  consisting of over 40 area precision metalworking companies, supporting associate members and community partners forming a strong group of like-minded businesses supporting the manufacturing industry, skills-talent development and advocacy with impact.

The major focuses of the MCNTMA are workforce and business development.  We offer NTMA-U http://www.ntma.org/initiatives/education/ (a value-added benefit free tuition to our members) to address the skills shortage in the machining industry – by recruiting and training top talent in our communities.

We’re also bridging the gap with M.A.P. Manufacturing Advancement Program! Utilizing Goodwill Industries’ services of recruitment, education, job training, placement and resources matched with NTMA’s NTMA-U – a fully on-line program of skills training/apprentice courses developed for the precision machining and related occupations, this innovative initiative is designed to upskill Michiana’s manufacturing workforce and provide NTMA members with the skilled labor to fill their open positions.

We support opportunities to grow your business by a menu of business success tools and innovative opportunities such as Local, Regional & National Events, Plant Tours, and Roundtables/Workshops for networking and professional/technical development.
